Getting a Refund: What to Expect

Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are handled at SophiaEssays. We try to be fair to both sides; protecting students when something goes wrong on our end, while also recognizing the time spent on work that has already been completed. Please read through the details below before placing an order.

2. When a Full Refund Is Available

You are eligible for a full refund if you cancel the order before we have started working on it. A full refund may also be given if we are unable to take on the order for reasons on our side, such as capacity issues or an inability to meet the requirements you sent.

3. Partial Refunds

If work has already started by the time you request a cancellation, a partial refund may be possible. We look at how much of the assignment has been completed and decide the refund amount based on that progress. For example, an order that is only partly written will be treated differently from one that is nearly finished. We will explain the decision clearly when we respond.

4. When Refunds Are Not Available

Once the completed work has been delivered and accepted, refunds are no longer available. If you have already submitted the work to Sophia or used it in any way, we cannot issue a refund. Requests that come in long after delivery without a specific problem related to the original instructions are also not eligible.

5. Revisions Before Refunds

If the delivered work does not follow the instructions or rubric you provided, we prefer to resolve the issue through revisions first. In most cases, we ask that you give us the chance to correct the work before a refund is considered. This approach usually solves the problem more quickly for both sides.

6. How to Request a Refund

7. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, it will be returned through the original payment method only. Processing times can vary depending on the payment provider, but we aim to issue approved refunds promptly once the decision is made.

8. Special Cases

Rush orders and full course orders are reviewed individually. Because these projects usually involve more time and coordination, the stage of completion carries more weight in the decision. We will always explain our reasoning when responding to these requests so you understand how the outcome was reached.
